Dixie's Bio

 Hello!  I am beyond excited for the opportunity to be a part of this experience again this semester! I will complete a BAS in Information Technology focusing on cybersecurity in May of 2025 at Phoenix College. I plan on continuing my education to complete a Master's Degree in Global Security at Arizona State University. I was recently accepted into an internship program with Phoenix College and am awaiting placement details!

I have 3 grown children, 2 boys who are working as electrical apprentices and my daughter who is now attending ASU for Electrical Engineering at Barrett, The Honors College.  My kids are my inspiration and motivation for changing careers later in life and taking on new challenges each day! I also have a Great Dane, Dante, who is my shadow - he follows me everywhere!  He was my main source of data collection for my research project my first semester in the program - and he didn't disappoint, even with all the changes we experienced. I am looking forward to another amazing semester full of learning and challenges!
